NTC: A Leader in Educational Outreach
NTC is the largest touring educational theatre company in the world. Since 1978, NTC has successfully tackled one issue after the next – financial literacy, electrical safety, water conservation, health care, smoking prevention, recycling, wise energy use, renewable energy, nutrition, bullying prevention, and more – proving that theatre can educate even as it entertains. Our educational outreach programs are entirely underwritten by corporate, non-profit and governmental sponsors who want to be associated with delivering healthy-living messages to students and their families. NTC performs approximately 7,000 times a year throughout the country, actively engaging 2.8 million students and parents through its programming.
Educational Outreach – How NTC works
We use professional adult actors who tour anywhere from one to 12 weeks nationwide throughout the school year. Our programs are completely turn-key; NTC schedules all of the in-school performances, hires and transports the professional actors, creates all of the scripts, sets, props, and costumes, distributes the educational materials, etc. all on behalf of the sponsoring organization.
